Some weeks I don’t know where to begin with what to share. Lately each week has been full of experiences and opportunities to just draw near and dwell in His presence and wisdom. He speaks clearly to me and I’m desiring a heart that is open to listen constantly.
One area of my life He never stops ministering to me in is the area of words, my words and His words. It is so easy for me to start jabbering away without real awareness of what the words are doing to my life. This week in our home we realized that all of us were speaking words that didn’t equal life. The cares of the world and meditations of our hearts had caused us to look at life through condemnation glasses. Every word any of us spoke was taken out of context and heard through the perspective of blame and accusation causing us to answer with excuses, self-pity and selfishness. Excuses = condemnation. The enemy’s greatest lie is to cause each of us to doubt our identity – or doubt who we are in Christ. When we are looking through the glasses of condemnation everything seems to attack our identity. The words we were speaking, hearing and believing were not words of life but of death. We decided as a family to put a halt to this before it killed relationships. We came together and took off the blindfolds that were causing us to only see darkness and not life. We put on our love glasses and made commitments to see things through His eyes and love. Made a difference immediately.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” Proverbs 18:21
Another area the Lord has been ministering to us in is the area of faith. Sometimes we think we are walking in faith but it is a human faith, faith looking through the glasses of the physical body and soul. Faith is the bridge that brings things that are unseen in the spiritual realm to being seen in the natural realm. Everything that is from our heavenly Father is in the spiritual realm and it takes faith to see all He has provided and receive it in our hearts and it then works in our body and soul. I want to share with you some of Romans 8 that I was reading this week. You can take these scriptures I am sharing and read them, pray them daily. They are powerful and even more powerful when you hide them in your hearts. These are from the Passion Bible but you can read them in other versions too. Makes them come alive even more😊
Sunday: “1. So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One, 9. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him. 10. Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God. 11Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!
Monday: 12. So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. 13. For when you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste his abundant life.14. The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.
Tuesday: 24. For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need to hope for something we already have? 25. So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment. 26. And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.
Wednesday: 27. God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny. 28. So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.
31. So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? 32. For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.
Thursday: 33. Who then would dare to accuse those whom God has chosen in love to be his? God himself is the judge who has issued his final verdict over them—“Not guilty!” 34. Who then is left to condemn us? Certainly not Jesus, the Anointed One! For he gave his life for us, and even more than that, he has conquered death and is now risen, exalted, and enthroned by God at his right hand. So how could he possibly condemn us since he is continually praying for our triumph? 35. Who could ever divorce us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love,
Friday: 36. even though it is written: All day long we face death threats for your sake, God. We are considered to be nothing more than sheep to be slaughtered! 37. Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! 38. So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. 39. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!”
Saturday: “Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord,
and you will gain knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:2-5
Let’s continue to seek Him and His wisdom, to be obedient to His words and speak words of life. We are to continue to come together in unity praying together and encouraging one another. Not everything He directs you to do will make sense in the natural. May cost you lots of time and money but if it is from Him, it is all worth it. The peace, joy, and rest that come from His ways are far above any earthly treasure we will ever find. Make the most of each day and know that the time is short. Laugh, rejoice, dance and celebrate His goodness. Anticipate that every day is going to be the best day ever!
