Mona's Devotional - It's Your Breath - 04/11/2021

I’ve had a hard time knowing what to share this week. This was the week following Resurrection and my heart was so full of all He has done for me, for us all. I meditated on that so much and thanking and acknowledging Him in every little thing. My heart is rejoicing in Him. My heart is having an awakening just as the rest of the Body of Christ is. It’s powerful. It’s amazing. It’s real!

My heart’s cry is to be a listener. I want to listen and hear the Lord and I want to hear and listen to the hearts of people. This week I heard His voice in many ways. I went to my Mom and Dave’s this week to help them with some things. I had not been there for about 5 months. As I drove over the beautiful mountains, He spoke to me through His creation. The trees are beginning to bud out, the rivers and streams are bubbling along with fresh water from the melting snow.  I heard an answer I was seeking as I drove by a pasture and stopped to watch a calf be born. It was amazing He had me at that place at that time.

We have seen a total turn around in Summer in the last few days. Even though we always pray and believe for her and expect the unexpected we saw our answer as we were watching the Passion of Christ. We knew He was speaking to us when we watched Jesus stump the head of the enemy in the Garden. The situation with Summer we have always known was an attack and we have prayed, broken off the attack and believed. But when we saw with our eyes and felt in our hearts the impact of Him stumping on the head of the enemy, we knew that was what we were to do. So, we did. It was an amazing release and as I am writing this she is lying outside in the sun, something she hasn’t done for 2 months. Thank you, Jesus.

I was able to spend precious time with my Mom for a couple days and serve her in things she needed done. What an honor to be able to do that. I cherish every moment I have with her. Also, so thankful for Dave’s total healing. We remember 2 years ago now when all this attack on his body started and a year ago when He received a treatment that saved his life. It was a treasured couple of days.

There’s a song I sing a lot because it is so powerful. Great Are You, Lord. It’s Your Breath that I Breathe. As I sing this, I know that my body is His and no weapon formed against shall prosper. No virus can trespass in my body because it’s breath in my lungs! That’s a powerful truth! What the world is saying, and offering is a lie and deception. I’m breathing His breath and I shout for joy and let every breath I breathe praise Him!

I’m going to close with the lyrics to that worship song. As you go about your days and week, notice the littlest things. Hear Him in a movie you are watching or in nature as new life is springing forth. You’ll be amazed how close He is to you as you focus on Him and His love.

Great Are You, Lord.

You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore
Every heart that is broken
And great are You, Lord

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore (You restore)
Every heart that is broken
Great are You, Lord

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord

And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord

And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
