August 9, 2020
What a glorious day it is! What a wonderful time of year! Each day as I sit outside to study and pray my heart is overwhelmed with the beauty of His creation. As we have traveled back and forth to Southern Colorado a few times the last couple weeks I am overwhelmed with all He has made. Many things are happening around us daily. The media and news reports are not always pleasant but He is still my Lord and Savior. I always want to make sure I keep my eyes on Him and all He has given me!

His beauty and creation help to keep my perspective true and full of hope when life does reveal itself as a mess right now. I can’t hide from what’s going on and all the attacks of the enemy but they cannot be my focus or cause me to become hopeless. The last few weeks I have shared a lot about the power of prayer. The Lord is also keeping my heart focused on His promises and His truth. I am purposely putting before my eyes words of praise, words of hope, and words of truth, love and faith. Next week I will share more on The Word and our words. Today I want to share some verses of hope.

The Lord keeps telling me in my heart that He is isn’t just sitting back watching and waiting. I see Him doing absolutely amazing, unbelievable things in the spirit whelm. In Him we are not of this world. We are in a different place that sometimes we forget to focus on. In His presence I see things different. I don’t understand it all but I know it is good and it is powerful beyond our greatest imagination.

I’m sharing a few verses that He has brought back to my memory that He gave me earlier this year. He knew what was coming in 2020 and most of us couldn’t even think things would get turned upside down to this point in just a few months. But He gave us His Word, His words and Himself, The Word to keep us believing and able to stand strong in such a time as this. He has made everything new.

Last year our declaration as a church was Isaiah 43:19:
“I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.” How amazing He had us declaring this all of 2019 in preparation for 2020. He says, “Don’t you perceive this new thing I am doing?” Wow! I’m watching and listening!

Then this year He gave us Psalm 96:2-3 as our declaration. “Don’t stop! Keep on singing! Make his name famous! Tell everyone every day how wonderful he is. Give them the good news of our great Savior. Take the message of his glory and miracles to every nation. Tell them about all the amazing things he has done.” Psalm 96:2-3. This is such a powerful verse for this season we are in. Singing breaks the power of the enemy and He is doing amazing things every day that we need to share with others. If we keep our eyes on Him we will see things we would never see in the natural.

These verses talk about a new life, a new song, a new heart. These are verses for TODAY not someday down the road. These are His truths that are happening daily. Declare these truths daily over your family, our church family, your city, our country and this world. These are powerful words of LIFE!

“And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:18

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new creation. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

“Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.” Song of Songs 2:13

“A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him!” Psalm 40:3

“Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! It’s time to sing to God a brand-new song so that all his holy people will hear how wonderful he is!” Psalm 149:1

“Sing to Yahweh a brand-new song! Sing his praise until it echoes from the ends of the earth! Sailors and sea creatures, praise him! Islands and all their inhabitants, sing his praise!” Isaiah 42:10

“Go ahead—sing your brand-new song to the Lord! He is famous for his miracles and marvels, for he is victorious through his mighty power and holy strength.” Psalm 98:1

“My God, I will sing you a brand-new song! The harp inside my heart will make music to you!” Psalm 144:9

“When I look at you, I see how you have taken my fruit and tasted my word. Your life has become clean and pure, like a lamb washed and newly shorn. You now show grace and balance with truth on display.” Song of Songs 4:2

“A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him!” Psalm 40:3

“I didn’t whisper in secret, in a realm of darkness. I didn’t say to Jacob’s tribes, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I am Yahweh! I speak the truth and declare to you what is right!”
Isaiah 45:19

His truth, His love, His ways, His peace and hope are not hidden. He isn’t playing hide-and-seek. He has declared His word to us and we can take all this into our heart and declare it to the world!
