Mona's Devotional - 03/28/2021

March 28, 2021
We just spent a week in Phoenix. We actually relaxed and enjoyed the company of our family and friends. It was a cool, windy week there but had a couple times we could soak in the sun. For me it's hard to go away and leave behind responsibilities, especially when there is snowy weather and it's hard to leave the dogs :). But I knew it was what the Lord had put together and planned so I went and ENJOYED. It was a refreshing time physically, emotionally and Spiritually. I appreciate those who helped make it happen. Thank you!!

Wherever we were it seemed like the topic of the condition of the world and our country came up. This is still a time like none of us have ever experienced. We talked, we prayed and always concluded that even though everything around us have changed, our heavenly Father hasn't changed! His promises haven't changed! His blessings haven't changed! The Fruit of the Spirit hasn't changed! His love hasn't changed and never will! Just let that soak in because it's the only way we can get through this life victoriously and be a witness to the world for Him.

I heard this the other day, "There is no danger of My purposes being lost to the powers of the world. I am victorious!!" He reminded me of His Word. From Genesis to Revelation His promises are true. His mercy is ALWAYS new every morning! His joy - His peace that is in me and you all the time because He is in us. His love never fails. "Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up." 1 Corinthians 13: 7 So what I am saying is no matter what is going on in the world around us we still and always will have Him and we live as victorious as He does!

I have been reading through the Gospels about Jesus's last days on earth. "After they brought the colt to Jesus, they placed their prayer shawls on its back, and Jesus rode it as he descended the Mount of Olives toward Jerusalem. As he rode toward the city, people spontaneously threw their prayer shawls like a carpet on the path in front of him. As soon as he got to the bottom of the Mount of Olives, the crowd of his followers shouted with a loud outburst of ecstatic joy over all the mighty wonders of power they had witnessed. They shouted over and over, "Highest praises to God for the one who comes as King in the name of the Lord! Heaven's peace and glory from the highest realm now comes to us!" Luke 19:35-38

Imagine how the disciples have must felt. These days we are perplexed and wonder what is next. The disciples were with Jesus watching all the events that must take place for the prophecies to be fulfilled . They were stunned, in unbelief and even denied Him. "Along the way Jesus said to them, "Before the night is over, you will all desert me. This will fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture that says: I will strike down the shepherd and all the sheep will scatter far and wide! "But after I am risen, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and will meet you there." Then Peter spoke up and said, "Even if all the rest lose courage and fall away, I will still be beside you, Jesus!" Are you sure, Peter?" Jesus said. "In fact, before the rooster crows a few hours from now, you will have denied me three times." Peter replied, " I absolutely will never deny you, even if I have to die with you!" And all the others said the same thing." Matthew 26:31-35

As Jesus shared with the disciples and others what the end times would be like, He gave them a warning. "Be careful that you never allow your hearts to grow cold. Be careful that you are not caught off guard, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the worries of this life, and that day will come upon you suddenly like a trap. Don't let me come and find you drunk or living carelessly like everyone else. For that day will come as a shocking surprise to all. Keep a constant watch over your soul, and pray for the courage and grace to prevail over these things that are destined to occur and that you will stand before the presence of the Son of Man." Luke 21:34-36

He tells us to be careful that the day will come as a shocking surprise to all. Keep constant watch over heart and pray for courage and grace. If our hearts are not guarded and our focus is not on Him we can become deceived and disillusioned just like the disciples. It was a dark and confusing week. Jesus warned His disciples just as He has warned us. He told them of areas that are going to be tempting just as He has spoken to each of us. He gave them the answers. He has given us the answers! We have even more than the disciples. He lives inside of us. Jesus had taught, warned, shared and prepared for what was coming. He even told them the end of the story, the Resurrection. But when they were in the middle of the reality that Jesus was crucified, killed, they didn't remember what He had said. They had lost hope.

Sometimes we wonder how could they have missed what Jesus was telling them. How did they not know what He was talking about? Even though the disciples walked with Jesus personally and had every opportunity to know what was coming we have even more. We have Him living in us and we know the VICTORY of that week yet we doubt His words at times, we let the things of this world weight us down. Be careful that you are not caught off guard, or your hearts will be weighed down with the worries of this life. As we are walking through some disillusioning times, we MUST keep our hearts and minds focused on Him and His love. There will NEVER come a day that His love, joy, peace and hope are not ours. "Then he walked a short distance away, and overcome with grief, he threw himself facedown on the ground and prayed, "My Father, if there is any way you can deliver me from this suffering, please take it from me. Yet what I want is not important, for I only desire to fulfill your plan for me." Then an angel from heaven appeared to strengthen him." Matthew 26:29 An angel was sent to strengthen Jesus. I love this. He is always here to strengthen us. "So now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!" Hebrews 10:23 "Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it." Romans 4: 18

Right now, things are crazy in our world but nothing compared to many times in the past. This is one of the greatest times ever to be alive. It's a time to be a part of the miracles He is doing. It's not happening one of these days down the road, it's happening now, today. His purposes are not lost to the powers of this world. He is alive and working all around us. The heavenlies are full and overflowing with His glory. As we celebrate His Resurrection this week ask Him to show you things He is doing. Then praise Him and raise a hallelujah for He is RISEN AND ALIVE!!!

I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies
I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief
I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody
I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me

I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

I raise a hallelujah, with everything inside of me
I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee
I raise a hallelujah, in the middle of the mystery
I raise a hallelujah, fear you lost your -hold on me!

I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

March 21, 2021
Today I just have a couple things I want to share. They are not on the same subject but very relevant for this time and season. On Saturday, March 20, the Governor of Colorado made a holiday called "Meatout" Day. This was created to help Coloradoans to ditch animal products. Well, it backfired on the Governor pretty much and the meat producers and meat eaters got up in arms and made it a "Meat In" Day. This whole idea can sound innocent and the Governor says he never meant to make a big deal but it is a big deal when he is creating a holiday! It's also a HUGE deal when you read about it in the Word. Carefully read the verses below

"The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the true faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories. Hypocritical liars will deceive many, and their consciences won't bother them at all! They will require celibacy and dietary restrictions that God doesn't expect, for he created all foods to be received with the celebration of faith by those who fully know the truth." 1 Timothy 4: 1-3
Does this sound like today?! Let me break it down a bit
** many will depart from the true faith one after another
** devoting themselves to spirits of deception
** following demon-inspired revelations and theories
** hypocritical liars will deceive many
** their consciences won't bother them at all
** They will require dietary restrictions

The verses go on to say "for he created all foods to be received with the celebration of faith by those who fully know the truth". Amen!! There are so many deceptions the enemy is throwing at us that can seem innocent and understandable but we cannot not get caught in the web! We must keep our focus on Him and His Word. Just something for you to think on:)

Another thing I wanted to share is about our Thursday night study on Romans 12:4-8. We feel this is a vital study for this season and time as we believe an outpouring and revival is happening! In this time of ministering to those coming in it is important that each of us know what part of the body we are and how to function and work together.

"In the human body there are many parts and organs, each with a unique
function. And so it is in the body of Christ. For though we are many, we've all been mingled into one body in Christ. This means that we are all vitally joined to one another, with each contributing to the others. God's marvelous grace imparts to each one of us varying gifts. So if God has given you the grace-gift of prophecy, activate your gift by using the proportion of faith you have to prophesy. If your grace-gift is serving, then thrive in serving others well. If you have the grace-gift of teaching, then be actively teaching and training others. If you have the grace-gift of encouragement, then use it often to encourage others. If you have the grace-gift of giving to meet the needs of others, then may you prosper in your generosity without any fanfare. If you have the gift of leadership, be passionate about your leadership. And if you have the gift of showing compassion, then flourish in your cheerful display of compassion." Romans 12:4-8

I want to share my experiences with these ministry gifts. I believe the Lord has shown me some things about using and misusing our gifts. I've taken many different tests that help me find out what my gifts are. I usually test very high on giving and organization. So many times, the ministry gifts will follow in line with our behavior style. The strong, dominant people many times have the prophetic gift. Others are your happy, friendly, encouraging type of folks and they so enjoy exhorting others. The detail minded person is usually a teacher or organizer and the person who likes to stay out of the limelight and not be focused on has the gift of serving. There are always exceptions and there are combinations of gifts that we each have.

My natural tendencies are to give and organize. I can do either of these gifts without even thinking about it or asking the Lord for help! Some things we do in life and in ministry we can easily do in our own will and strength. That's where we get into trouble. When we do anything outside the power of the Holy Spirit it is just hay, wood and stubble. We each can do some of our gifts blindfolded. It is so natural but none of these gifts in the body of Christ are to be done without Him.

"If I were to speak with eloquence in earth's many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn't express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal. And if I were to have the gift of prophecy with a profound understanding of God's hidden secrets, and if I possessed unending supernatural knowledge, and if I had the greatest gift of faith that could move mountains, but have never learned to love, then I am nothing. And if I were to be so generous as to give away everything I owned to feed the poor, and to offer my body to be burned as a martyr, without the pure motive of love, I would gain nothing of value." 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

ANYTHING we do in our own strength without HIS love isn't walking in our ministry gifts. That's hard to say but that is what the Lord is showing me. I can organize and give without even thinking twice or asking Him. My motive may be fine especially in my eyes but it is done without Him.

There are 2 gifts that I didn't want to be. Sounds bad but the truth. Of course, that's me in the flesh. The 2 gifts are the gifts of mercy and serving. I actually have both of these gifts but in my flesh I fought them because they seemed abused in my eyes. I was taken advantage of when I flowed in these gifts. When I was younger there were times others saw my gifts as menial and lowly and let me know that I wasn't on the same level they were. This time around these 2 gifts were very strong for me. I tell you what, compassion doesn't seem like a part of me but I see it very strong when I am walking in the Spirit. As I read the Word and the Gospel's I see His mercy over and over and I feel chills all over when I know that same mercy He gives I can give to others. I now long for Him to flow through me with the gift of mercy to others that are disillusioned and hurting.

The gift of serving. I don't like being taken advantage of and having an expectation that if no one does it I will. In this ministry I usually do what others won't but it's also about our leadership and accountability to the Lord with the ministry. But if I am doing things around here without joy then I might as well not do it. You've all seen me serving with the wrong attitude and the Lord has dealt with my heart on that. I long to serve others in Him but I can only do it with Him.

Let me try to pull the ends together. Giving and organizing come easy and I love to do them in the natural. Mercy and serving do not come easy and I don't love to do either one if left to myself. We will all have gifts that will just flow but the gifts are only effective and powerful when we let the Holy Spirit work through us. There may be other gifts you try to avoid and they are even more powerful and effective when you surrender your heart and let Him work! Don't know if this is making sense. It's like this, nothing, including your gifts, is impossible with Him and everything, including our gifts, is impossible without Him.

March 14, 2021
It’s been a difficult week with Summer. It was a week the Lord continued to talk to me and I heard most of what He said. I only listened and acted on some of it, though. Today I’m listening and it’s touching my heart.

So I will share some of my Summer lessons and revelations of this week. Summer dog was doing so well after her surgery from November. She was released and for 3 weeks she did amazing. Then the equipment failed again and she went a couple weeks with a leg out of place before another surgery. They were finally able to do surgery about 2 weeks ago. It was a hard surgery on her but she doesn’t have as long of a recovery as the first one. In the last 10 days she’s had a fever, infection and intense pain. The intense pain started 6 days after the surgery so it’s a mystery as to what is going on but the infection is gone. This whole week I’ve watched her struggle with pain, cry and cry when she has to get up, fight us because she’s tired of hurting, not eat, not drink, mess herself because she hurts to move and cry if you touch her with your pinky. It’s frustrating for us. Some of her issues are medication related also. I prayed. I asked. I sought His wisdom and was feeling like nothing was changing but getting worse. I had times of strength. Times of weakness and tears. Times of confusion. Times of trying to figure it out on my own. Times of complaining. Times of faith. Times of fear. Times of anger. Selfish times and lots of times in His presence. How could I have such a vast range of feelings? It was all dependent on where my thoughts were.

Here’s what the Lord showed me and how it works for all our situations.
#1 – I’m blaming others. That’s a tough one to admit. No matter if there was equipment failure or not – me blaming and judging others is not helping but it is hindering the situation. Blaming and judging others creates a hard heart that can’t hear what God is saying. That puts me in a position of selfishness.

#2 - My selfish attitude made me feel like a victim because I felt my dog was being ignored and abused. Of course, I don’t want to her suffering but I’m causing anger and frustration to build up inside of me with this attitude.  When that happens, my focus continues to be on the problem and I am not keeping my focus on the Lord. I do pray and believe but from a heart that’s half open. All this happens without me really realizing it until I hit the wall that says I can’t do this anymore! When there is pain, lack, conflict, basically anything worldly it’s hard to walk by faith. Actually, we can’t walk by faith without the Holy Spirit.

#3 – The Lord spoke to me that I was walking by sight. Every time Summer cried, I would want to cry with her. “For we walk by faith and not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 It’s through His Spirit we see the finished work, the end result, the VICTORY! We cannot see that without the Spirit. Without looking through His eyes all we see is the physical and natural situation, condition or problem. I have to see through His eyes that Summer Dog is healed and running around with no limp. Since they cut off the top of her femur that leg is to be shorter than the other leg BUT we are speaking and declaring it will be lengthened and no limp! That’s where we all have to be with any of our problems.

#4 – The Lord gave me this verse the other morning loud and clear! “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 But pain is hard to ignore. Pain makes it hard to see by faith. I’ve found that I have been living in the moments, in the situations instead of the power of the resurrection. I’ve let the worldly issues control me instead of the power of the Holy Spirit! I know the difference but get caught up in self-absorption, my problems, my pity for Summer, judgment and dealing only with things that seemed possible. I’ve been looking for answers in all the wrong places when I felt like I didn’t hear from the Lord in my time. And all along He was right beside Summer and I waiting for me to get past myself so I could hear Him and believe Him. “But now that we have been fully released from the power of the law, we are dead to what once controlled us. And our lives are no longer motivated by the obsolete way of following the written code, so that now we may serve God by living in the freshness of a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 7:6

#5 – One morning I heard Him loud and clear (and listened!) that we were living in confusion.
“For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.” James 3:16 NKJV He had already told me I was being self-seeking and selfish and I know there is lots of confusion about Summer’s whole situation. When He shared this verse, I immediately remembered that He had shown us before that this was an attack and Ed broke the selfishness and confusion off us.

As I continue to pray and stand strong in this situation and many more life circumstances He continues to tell me that I don’t have to rely on my own understanding and strength to face anything we are facing. He says He has answered each of my cries, I need to listen and hear. I want to be still and know Him and hear Him and receive the revelation He has for me as I draw closer to Him. He says it’s okay to come to Him in my weakness for when I am weak, He is strong. “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
“
He’s restoring everything to better than before as we trust, wait and hope in Him. “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:28-31.

When I focus on me and my problems the selfishness keeps me from seeking all He already has given me. When I look to Him, He fills me with more than I could ever imagine. It’s so easy to focus on the unknowns with Summer and even the not so positive possibilities of her situation. Instead of focusing on those things and what is causing her pain I am calling it gone and she is healed through His power and in the name of Jesus.

Right now, your situation probably isn’t a dog. What you are dealing with could be far worse but no matter what is going on in your life the truth of God’s Word is the same. He is the same in every situation letting us know He is there for us. He is wanting to hold each of us close to His heart. His love has no bounds. No matter what is beating you down He is saying come up with Me. “Rest in My everlasting arms. Let My love saturate your heart and abundantly overflow in your life.”  “For everyone who listens with an open heart will receive progressively more revelation until he has more than enough. But those who don’t listen with an open, teachable heart, even the understanding that they think they have will be taken from them.” Matthew 13:12

“For those of us who believe, faith activates the promise and we experience the realm of confident rest!” Hebrews 4:3

Each of us have a situation or two in our lives in our lives. Continue to pray for and encourage one another. Also, continue to pray that His Truth and Love will prevail in our country!

Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Mona's Devotional - Children are a Gift - 03/07/2021

3/9/2021

March 7, 2021
Things have changed quite a bit since I was young or when we were raising our children. I’m a Great-Grandma with 24 grandchildren and have been a parent for 47 years! Doesn’t seem possible but it’s a truth😊. Even though through time there are many new ideas, technology improvements, time saving devices and more, nothing is new when it comes to relationships.

My heart is heavy for our children. The evil is so obvious and accepted. From killing newborns, to sex trafficking, to gender related issues, there’s so much going after our little ones. Yet, for them, they are just children wanting to play, learn new things and usually feel protected by their parents. God created children with such resilience and faith. I am writing today about raising up our children in the Lord. This is important for EVERYONE to read not just parents. We need to diligently pray for parents with small children in these times. This is what the Word says about the little ones.

‘Jesus overheard them and said, “I want little children to come to me, so never interfere with them when they want to come, for heaven’s kingdom realm is composed of beloved ones like these! Listen to this truth: No one will enter the kingdom realm of heaven unless he becomes like one of these.” Matthew 19:14

“Listen to the truth I speak: Whoever does not open their arms to receive God’s kingdom like a teachable child will never enter it.” Then he embraced each child, and laying his hands on them, he lovingly blessed each one.” Mark 10:15-16

There are so many new books, programs, counseling techniques, theories, and so much more about children. Many don’t talk about raising children but letting children “raise” themselves. The emphasis is more on protecting your children than training them up in the way they should go.
“Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life.” Proverbs 22:6

That’s a powerful verse. First it says to dedicate your children to the Lord not let them make their own decision on who they will follow. Point them to Jesus and what they learn will be with them for a life time! This is true whether they are taught negative or positive. Adults are examples of this. How we were raised is still with us and if it was negative, we’ve had to deal with some heart issues. With all the NEW information about raising up children in this world there is still no truth more relevant and vital than the Word of God!

God is our Creator! He knows the number of hairs on every head and knows exactly what is going on in our bodies, physically, emotionally and spiritually. He KNOWS each person, each child. So, the FIRST place to start learning about raising a child is from the Word of God. Some verses may sound hard, some against the law now days, irrelevant for these times, and not what parents are looking for but the Word is still the only real TRUTH. There has always been parenting issues from the beginning of time and always been issues. Raising children now is no more difficult as any time because there’s always been an enemy trying to destroy families. Raising parents is more difficult than ever before because parents have been educated more by the worldly system than by the Word of God. That is very obvious today. Parents have to be dedicated to knowing what the WORD OF GOD says about raising up children. There are many great tools and recourses that others guided by the Word have made available. Many books on parenting by Christian believers on the practical day to day wisdom are so valuable. But it has to all start from the foundation of the Word.

As a parent I/we DID NOT do it all correctly. That’s the blessing of these wonderful, loving children God created is that they bounce back while we are learning to parent. As a Mom I made so many mistakes. I had 3 little ones who went through the death of their daddy and an emotional basket case of a mommy. Then I married Ed and we had MANY, MANY marriage problems that our children watched us handle wrong. There were times there was NO money. Adam had heart surgery as a baby and we had no insurance. Life was hard and there were mistakes made. Some rebelled for a season. All had heart issues they had to deal with as adults. I was not a perfect Mom but one thing I did know is that the Lord was my only answer! I prayed and I sought wisdom from the Word.

One of the greatest impacts you can have on a child’s life is to spend time with them teaching them the Word of God. The Word tells us that we are to KNOW His Word and then WE are to teach it to our children.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9

These verses were a life saver to me when our children were young. We talk about Jesus and His love all the time. Here is a breakdown of the verses.
**You shall teach the Word diligently to your children
**talk of His love and His ways:
when you sit in your house
when you walk by the way
when you lie down
when you rise up
**Have His Word before your eyes in some way at all times
**Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, have His Words and promises on your walls, on your mirrors, before your eyes!

One thing we learned to do was to DAILY have a devotion time with our children. DAILY we read the Word together. Many times at breakfast, almost always at bedtime. We spent time in reading a fun devotional before bed and the kids went to bed with Jesus on their minds. It took away from some of “our” time but “my” time had a different definition when the children were young. Time together as parents is important and vital since it helps you together in agreement. Your own time individually in the Word is of upmost importance so He can guide and lead you through your day. When my kids were young the only time I had to myself was at 5:30 AM. Didn’t matter how late I was up this Jesus and me time became so valuable and cherished. It was my lifeline and still is.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your  children.” Isaiah 54:13

I want all parents to know that as a church we are here to help you as a parent as you raise up the next generation. These little ones were born for such a time as this and will be able to stand strong in the Lord in whatever the Lord is leading them to do. Parents, we pray for you and honor you as you teach your children His ways in such a godless world at this time.

“Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward. Happy will be the couple who has many of them! A household full of children will not bring shame on your name but victory when you face your enemies, for your offspring will have influence and honor to prevail on your behalf!” Psalm 127:3-5

Mona's Devotional - In His Name - 02/28/2021

February 28, 2021
It’s been one of those weeks. It was a good week but had a week full of questions for my heavenly Father. Sometimes I just ask Him, “What is this, Lord?” And He hears me even through my frustrations and tears. He hears and He answers. His answers are usually reminders of what He has showed me in the last few weeks. So, as I was awake one early morning this past week trying to worry, waller in self-pity, being impatient and wanting answers now, the Lord reminded me of His Word and His words to me lately.

This week our heater went out and we had to replace. That’s normal maintenance in a home but then Summer started limping again and we had her x-rayed and the equipment in her hip failed and she has to have another surgery this week. That is discouraging. But we are trusting Him. We are planning a life celebration of a friend, a cousin’s wife passed away, we are praying with so many people that are hurting so bad. And then we still have a corrupt government that brings out one more evil and controlling thing almost every day! WE CAN’T STOP PRAYING AND LISTENING TO HIM! It’s imperative we stay in His Word and not in our self-pity.

Here’s some of what He spoke to my heart as I heard speak while calling on Him.
**Have heavenly vision not tent vision. Remember My promises and what your inheritance is!
**Worship Me! Remember all the answered prayers and breakthroughs and worship Me!
**You must remember who you are in ME and not in yourself and what you do does affect eternal purposes.
**This is the time of favor and victory!
**You are to have a heart that walks blameless. This is the mark of the high calling in Christ.
(Philippians 3:12-14).
**A blameless heart carries failure and discouragement to the cross.
**You must see grace as greater than your failure or discouragement.
**El Shaddai – God Almighty. His name is our power and we’ve been called by His name.
**Cling to Me not your past or your pain.
**When you are walking in faith you have patience and can rest in My promises. But when you are in the flesh you determine to make things happen now in anyway you can.
**The enemy tries to ensnare us with ideas that are birthed out of impatience and are not Him.

In my devotion today it said He listens to our heart’s cries but we must shake off the discouragement and agree with Him. We are to rest in all He has spoken to our hearts. He also spoke to me to remember Who He is and call Him by name. Proverbs 18:10
“The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and is safe.”
The Names of God used in the Bible act as a roadmap for learning about the character of God. Since the Bible is God’s Word to us, the names He chooses in Scripture are meant to reveal His true nature to us. God revealed Himself to mankind by His Name. The various Names of God explain His power, His nature and His relationship with man. Old Testament believers held God’s name in awe and respect.  His Name was never spoken lightly. His Name was worshipped and held in high respect. As we acknowledge His Word and worship Him we are acknowledging that He is Who the Word says He is, and we are who the Word says we are.

He heard my cries early the other morning and spoke His mercy, grace and love to my heart. Now I have to hear His Word as truth and receive all He has said. He is always faithful even when I am faithless and knows my every need. Trust Him today. Listen to His heart and know how much He loves and cares for you!

Psalm 72:17, 19 “His name shall endure forever: His name shall continue as long as the sun [indeed, His name continues before the sun]. And men shall be blessed and bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed! Blessed be His glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with His glory.”
