Today marks 65 years of my life. Doesn’t seem possible but I am thankful for every day the Lord has given me. I’ve had a wonderful life and I don’t remember a day of it that I didn’t know the Lord and love Him. I am forever grateful for my Mom and Grandparents that taught me about Jesus from day 1 and they lived a life full of Jesus and modeled that every day of their lives. I know that’s an extremely precious gift I was given and thank the Lord daily.
In 65 years you hope you learn and grow in wisdom. My greatest desire has always been to grow in my relationship with Him. The last 25 years I’ve learned the most since this is when I heard the gospel of peace anhear d truly caught the revelation of His grace. I began to hide in my heart how His death, burial and resurrection changed the world but also me. I began to learn about who I am because of what He did on the cross. My identity started to change when I was about 40 and I became a new creation because I knew in my heart who I was created to be in Him. What joy that is!!!
Some of my favorite studies in the Word are about what we speak, hear and see. I’ve learned so many truths in my lifetime but I must speak His truth, put it before my eyes and hear with my ears not be conformed to the ways of the world.

“Listen! A sower went out to sow seed; and as he was sowing, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on rocks where there was not much soil; and immediately a plant sprang up because the soil had no depth. And when the sun came up, the plant was scorched; and because it had no root, it dried up and withered away. Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. And other seed fell into good soil, and as the plants grew and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundred times as much as had been sown.”  And He said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.” Mark 4-9

“And your ears will hear a word behind you saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 This is a verse that I meditate on a lot. I want to hear the direction He is leading me.

“As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the Word and grasps and comprehends it; he indeed bears fruit and yields in one case a hundred times as much as was sown, in another 60 times and in another 30.” Matthew 13:23

“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them will be like a sensible wise man who builds his house upon the rock.” Matthew 7:24

“Lean on, trust in and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own understanding or insight. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn entirely from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8

“So faith comes by hearing what is told and what is heard comes by the preaching of the message that came from the lips of Christ the Messiah Himself.” Romans 10:17

“If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend. And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure of thought and study you give to the truth you hear will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that comes back to you and more besides will be given to you.” Mark 4:23-24
